Empowch’s Journey: From Vision to Reality

Three years ago, we embarked on a mission to create a financial platform unlike any other. Empowch became one of the first-ever financially inclusive focused, digital wallets on the Stellar blockchain , offering users an simple yet intuitive and powerful way to access their self-custody assets like USDC, EURC, AUDD.
Our goal was to empower people by giving them access to the digital economy even without a bank account, and since then, we’ve grown, adapted, and made significant strides toward creating an all inclusive financial services app for the unbanked and underbanked.
A Platform Designed for Users
Empowch’s wallet interface is built for ease and functionality, allowing skilled and unskilled users to perform a wide range of actions that previously required navigating multiple systems and services. Our platform enables:
- Fund Management: Users can buy STABLECOINS by bank transfers, credit/debit cards, Google Pay, and even cash deposits through our growing network of CONNECTOR™ agents.
- Withdrawals: Funds can be easily withdrawn to external wallets, bank accounts, or through cash pickups via our CONNECTOR™ network.
- Stellar Blockchain Transactions: Users can send and receive funds on the Stellar blockchain, ensuring fast and cost-efficient transactions.
- Currency Swaps: Empowch provides the ability to swap Stellar’s native XLM for stablecoins such as USDC, EURC, and soon, AUDD and BITCOIN.
- Marketplace Access: Our marketplace offers users the ability to buy top-up airtime vouchers and digital gift cards, seamlessly integrated into the wallet.
A Year of Organic Growth
One year ago, we launched the current version of Empowch, relying solely on organic growth through social media. The results speak for themselves. In just a short time, we have achieved:
- 1,700 registered users who trust Empowch to manage their digital assets.
- 70 Cash Connectors, providing local access to deposits and withdrawals, extending financial inclusion to underserved areas.
- 350 active users using Empowch’s platform regularly.
- 2 digital wallet integrations for B2B and B2B2C transactions, further expanding the use cases for our platform.
- Support for 3 stablecoins, giving users the flexibility to choose their preferred currencies.
- 6 strategic partnerships with leading industry names like Circle, MyKobo, Novatti, Stellar, Ding, MoonPay, and Kado, demonstrating the trust and confidence others have in Empowch’s capabilities.
- 3 pilot projects underway, which we’re excited to share more about in the future.
- 2 APIs, enabling third-party businesses to integrate seamlessly with Empowch.
- A growing community of 4,000 social media followers, engaging with our content and spreading the word.
What’s Next for Empowch?
Our progress continues with the upcoming launch of AUDD, our third stablecoin, which will bring more currency flexibility to our users, especially in Australia. We’re also working behind the scenes to enhance our existing services, expand partnerships, and increase the functionality of the Empowch interface.
With an average of 40-60 new users downloading the app each month and 75 CONNECTORS™ already part of our network, Empowch is rapidly becoming a global player in the digital wallet space.
