Exploring the Diverse Diaspora Populations

Germany has one of the highest numbers of diaspora in the world, with a significant proportion of its population made up of immigrants and their descendants. According to the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, as of 2022, over 22.3 million people living in Germany had a migratory background, representing around 21.9% of the total population. The largest groups of immigrants in Germany are from Turkey, Poland, and Italy.

The United Kingdom also has a large diaspora population, with the Office for National Statistics reporting that in 2021, around 14% of the population were born outside of the UK. The largest groups of immigrants in the UK are from Poland, India, and Pakistan.

The United States has one of the highest numbers of diaspora in the world, with a diverse population made up of immigrants and their descendants from all over the globe. According to data from the US Census Bureau, in 2022, around 46.6 million people living in the United States were foreign-born, representing around 13.7% of the total population. The largest groups of immigrants in the US are from Mexico, China, and India.

Australia also has a large diaspora population, with data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showing that in 2019, around 28% of the population were born overseas. The largest groups of immigrants in Australia are from England, China, and India.

Saudi Arabia has a significant diaspora population as well, with a large proportion of its population made up of guest workers and their families from other countries in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. According to data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, in 2019, around 12 million foreigners were living in Saudi Arabia, representing around 30% of the total population. The largest groups of immigrants in Saudi Arabia are from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

The United Arab Emirates also has a large diaspora population, with data from the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority showing that in 2019, around 85% of the population were expatriates. The largest groups of immigrants in the UAE are from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
